Throwing Savilecant At The BBC

The abandon with which other media organisations have criticised the BBC for its historic failure to deal with Savile might almost make one forget that they would probably also have been as happy to be associated with him while he was alive as the BBC was.

Indeed the canting hypocrisy of the press is something wonderful to contemplate particularly when in full cry against the BBC. They might care to explain why it is that as a teenager in rural Essex some 50 or so years ago, Saville's proclivity for young girls was widely known then why did the news press and the music press not expose him then?
