If all you read was the BBC you'd think she was a character straight from the pens of the Bronte sisters!

According to their report,

"A woman has admitted killing her baby after the infant's body was found in a disused freezer in a garden shed.

The baby had died from severe head injuries and its head was wrapped in tape, a court at the Old Bailey heard.

Patricia De Carvalho Braga, 22, from Winchmore Hill, north London, pleaded guilty to infanticide. "

"An illegal immigrant who battered her new born baby to death and then wrapped its face in sellotape 'like a mummy' pleaded guilty to the killing at the Old Bailey today.

Brazilian overstayer Patricia De Carvalho Braga, 23, hid the body in a freezer after giving birth to the infant girl secretly in a shed at her home in Barrowell Green, Winchmore Hill, north London on March 31 last year.

Pathologists said the cause of death was from "severe head injuries."

Her family only made the gruesome discovery when they found De Carvalho Braga covered in blood.The mother of three, who has a history of depression, today (Mon) denied murder but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of infanticide. She denied concealing the birth of a child. The charges were left on file.

Sentencing was adjourned until January 29, but De Carvalho Brage was warned that all sentencing options were available, including a term in jail.

Addressing the heavily built young woman, The Common Serjeant of London Judge Brian Barker said: "I can't sentence you today and need information that will be contained in a pre sentence report.

"In those circumstances your sentence will be adjourned until January 29 when you will be back before me, then I'll be in a position to consider everything.

"I make it clear, however, you should not draw any inference that I have asked for the report. All sentencing options remain open to me."

So she's really just a fat slob of an illegal Brazilian who killed her baby and who sounds as if she needs lobotomised.
