Our E-Mail Policy

(An incident occurred earlier today which has made one think that a formal statement of the blog's e-mail policy would be useful. This post will be added to the sidebar, above 'Contact Martin')
Subject to certain limited exceptions, e-mails will only be reproduced with the sender's consent and the sender's name will be withheld if so requested. Any person sending an e-mail for publication should mark it as such, and also advise if they wish to preserve their anonymity.
The exceptions referred to above are -
1. E-mails casting doubt on the bloggers' parentage, physical or mental capacities, literary skills, emotional maturity or professional credentials will be published along with the sender's name and e-mail address;
2. E-mails containing language derogatory towards any person or class of persons on account of their race, nationality, creed or sexuality will be published along with the sender's name and e-mail address;
3. E-mails advocating violence towards any person or class of person on account of their race, nationality, creed or sexuality will be published along with the sender's name and e-mail address and the e-mail forwarded to Strathclyde Police for investigation; and
4. E-mails from any individual, corporation, charity or other incorporated body or their advisers alleging that they have been libelled by any aspect of this blog's content will be published along with the sender's name and e-mail address.
